Dealing with Frustration

Dealing with frustration

Who is in control?

For the last several weeks, I have experienced frustration on such a level that it has affected me in ways that I never thought possible. However, during this process there have been lessons that I had to learn that proved advantageous for my growth. With that being said, there are some things that I want to pass along that will prove to be helpful. As things seem to “unravel “before me, the first thing I experienced was the sense of not being in control.

When things were not going the way I thought they should be going, frustration soon set in. Not understanding that the lesson here was to learn that I am not in control. Ultimately, my footsteps are ordered by the Lord, and he holds the reins of my life. How quickly we forget that the Lord reigns over the affairs of his creation.

The more and more I felt the reins being taken away, the more and more frustrated I became. The more I realized that everything I knew to do was not working, the more frustrated I became. It was not until I understood that my ways are not determined by my efforts, but are orchestrated by the skillful direction of Jesus.

Lesson learned, the Lord is in control.
